I’m Christina, a Product Design Leader

Where Am I From?
I’m a designer hailing from Toronto, Canada.

How many years of experience do I have?
I have 12 years of experience in steering multidisciplinary teams to create products and services that surprise and delight.

What is my background in?
I started out over 15 years ago as a junior designer at a architecture firm laying out RFPs in InDesign. From there I moved to design research and UX design as digital design excited me.

What excites Me?
I like making experiences and products better for humans. I deeply care about people and want to make the world better for folks! It’s why I wanted to get into design as a very young child.

Where do I thrive?
I thrive in ambiguity and innovation. Whether it be 0-to-1 digital product, or physical product strategy, or service design innovation, I utilize my craft, curiosity and strategic skills to imagine what could be.

What makes me unique?
I live in the in between of design craft and UX research. I bring my expertise of research, design craft, and business acumen with me. Which allows me to navigate cross-functional meetings with ease.

What leadership experience do I have?
I have lead program, people, and practice over the past decade, scaling up internal tools, levelling up staff, and creating a design culture that isn’t afraid of trying things out. I lead with empathy, trust, curiosity, fun and creativity.

What mentorship experience do I have?
I am a proud mentor and professor with 8+ years of teaching at OCAD University. I love supporting folks who are curious about design and greatly enjoy fostering safe spaces for folks to explore their skills.
